Cesium tungsten oxide nano powder may be applied for producing heat insulation coating. The heat insulating property or the near-infrared shielding property of the obtained coating material is excellent so that it is increasingly applied to the fields of architectural glass and automotive glass.
In order to test the new type of coating, some scholars have dispersed the coating material by a blending method, mixed with a silica sol, and spin-coated on a glass substrate. The scholars tested the adhesion of the transparent thermal insulation coating obtained from the coating material to the interface of the glass substrate. They found that the interface was strong. This is because the main component of the film-forming material selected for the Cs0.32WO3 transparent heat-insulating coating material is the same as the main component of the glass substrate, both of which are silica, and the -Si-O-Si- chemical bonds between the silica sol and the glass surface, so that they bind tightly under the action of chemical bonds.
