Cesium tungsten oxide nano powder may be applied for producing near-infrared shielding material, such as thermal insulation film, thermal insulation dispersion, and thermal insulation masterbatch, etc. And then these heat insulation materials may be applied to the heat insulation field of architectural glass. Some experts used a blending method to disperse Cs0.32WO3 rod-shaped nanopowder obtained by hydrothermal synthesis and then mixed with SiO2 sol and spin-coated on a 3.2mm glass substrate to prepare Cs0.32WO3 transparent heat-insulating glass. Then they measured the coating thickness to 4.80μm using a white light interference film thickness gauge.
According to the results, the experts found that the blank SiO2 sol coating without Cs0.32WO3 did not affect the light transmittance of the glass substrate. The Cs0.32WO3 transparent heat insulating glass not only maintains a high visible light transmittance (72%), but also reduces the near-infrared light transmittance by 10.5%. This shows that the addition of Cs0.32WO3 can effectively improve the selective permeability of the glass substrate to light.
