Cesium tungsten oxide nano powder has excellent near-infrared shielding property so that it may be applied for preparing a new type of heat insulating dispersion liquid to produce an environmentally friendly thermal insulation film. And the obtained thermal insulation film may be applied in architectural glass. To know the thermal insulation property of the film well, the researchers mix a 2mL of ethanol dispersion (solid mass fraction of 30.8%) and 8mL of SiO2 sol film former for 30min to obtain a coating. And they use commercially available, floated, and iron-containing sodium-calcium silicate car green glass original film (3.2mm) as a glass substrate, and then they spin-coat (rotation speed is 250r/min, time is 30s) the coating on the substrate. And dried the coating at 200°C for 30 minutes to obtain the transparent heat insulation glass.
At the same time, SiO2 sol-coated glass was prepared by using a sample-free SiO2 sol as a coating for comparison. The SiO2 sol film former was obtained by hydrolyzing the ethyl orthosilicate in a water-ethanol solution of nitric acid to which a 3% (mass fraction) coupling agent KH560 was added as a binder.
