Nano particle size violet tungsten oxide for infrared ultraviolet shielding material may be prepared by the hydrothermal synthesis method. In this method, WCl6 and ethanol were mixed and reacted in a reaction vessel at 180°C for 24 hours. Although this method can obtain nano grain size violet tungsten oxide, it takes a long time to react. And the quality of the violet tungsten oxide nano powder obtained each time is low.
At present, the preparation of violet tungsten oxide is usually using ammonium paratungstate (APT) as a raw material, and then calcined by introducing ammonia gas (NH3) into a rotary kiln. However, the violet tungsten oxide powder prepared by the method has a larger particle size and more impurity content. In other words, the obtained violet tungsten oxide powder has lower purity, which cannot satisfy the high requirement of violet tungsten oxide powder. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new high-efficiency and simple preparation method of nano particle size violet tungsten oxide to provide raw materials for the preparation of ultrafine powders such as ultrafine tungsten powder and tungsten carbide powder.
