Violet tungsten oxide powder may be used to produce nano-ceramic dispersion solution for applying in building heat insulation film or car film.
Violet tungsten oxide (W18O49/WO2.72) is one of tungsten oxides. The other three kinds of tungsten oxides are yellow tungsten oxide (WO3), blue tungsten oxide (W20O58/WO2.90) and tungsten dioxide (WO2). All of the above four kinds of tungsten oxides can be used as raw materials for the production of tungsten powder.
As early as the 1950s, tungsten acid and yellow tungsten oxide were mostly used in the production of tungsten powder at home and abroad. In the 1960s and 1970s, the United States, France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and many other countries used blue tungsten oxide as a raw material instead of tungstic acid and yellow tungsten oxide to produce tungsten powder. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, China completely replaced yellow tungsten oxide with violet tungsten oxide to produce tungsten powder. Tungstic acid is uniformly suitable for the production of fine tungsten powder because of its fine particle size. While high-purity tungstic acid make the manufacturing cost of tungsten powder relatively expensive. So, it is recommended to use tungsten bronze, tungsten oxide, or the like, as raw materials.
