In order to accurately measure the thickness of the synthesized hexagonal phase tungsten trioxide ultrathin nanosheets, the sample can be tested for AFM as shown in the image below.
It can be seen from the AFM image that the synthesized sample has a sheet structure with a certain stack. The two stacked nanosheets were measured separately. And it was found to be 4.6nm and 5.2nm, respectively. Therefore, it can be stated that the thickness of the synthesized nanosheet is about 5nm, and the test result is consistent with the TEM analysis result, indicating that the measurement is more accurate from the TEM image.
