熱電子銃の陰極として使われるタングステン線。直徑約0.1mmのタングステン線をV形にして支柱に取り付けてあり、通電加熱することによって2800K程度の高溫にして、熱電子を放出させる。SEMだけでなく電子光學機器の電子源として最も多く使われている陰極である。
