Porous WO3 thin film can be prepared by a new preparation method. Some experts have deposited tungsten trioxide ultrafine nanowires on the surface of ITO conductive glass, and found that films prepared with different solvents have different optical properties. This method of electrodepositing crystalline tungsten trioxide tends to directly deposit the nanopowder in a solvent such as methanol, deionized water or n-hexane. Therefore, the deposition voltage is large, and the deposited film often needs to be annealed.

The ultra-thin hydrated tungsten trioxide nanosheets are positively charged under acidic conditions. In this regard, some experts have used this feature to prepare an annealing-free three-dimensional vertical structure hydrated WO3 nanosheet film by low-voltage electrodeposition method. This new preparation method provides a new idea for producing porous structural films. Moreover, this method may be applied to stretchable devices to prevent cracking of the film during stretching, which has potential commercial prospects.
