The research on nano particle size tungsten trioxide mainly includes electrochromic mechanism, various physical/chemical deposition methods for film preparation, correlation between properties and film composition, structure, density, surface/interface morphology, etc. Also, the experts study the design and preparation of various electrochromic devices. For example, some experts have studied in detail the changes in the crystal structure of tungsten oxide nano powder during the process of lithium injecting into tungsten oxide. It is found that with the increase of lithium injection, tungsten oxide will change from monoclinic to tetragonal to cubic crystal, and the structure becomes more and more symmetrical. But the relationship between structural changes and discoloration performance, stability, etc. has not been reported.
