A Preparation Method of Highly Ordered WO3 Nanorods Electrochromic Film
Step one: Mix 0-50mL of deionized water and 0-50mL of concentrated hydrochloric acid with a weight percentage of 36.5%-38% to reach a total volume of 50mL mixture, stir at room temperature for 5min, then add 0.2-4g tungsten hexachloride, continue to stir for 5min, then transferred to a 100mL high temperature reactor;
Step two: place the clean conductive glass in a high temperature reaction kettle, and the conductive surface is facing up;
Step three: the high temperature reaction kettle is placed in a constant temperature drying oven, and hydrothermally reacted at a constant temperature of 100°C - 180°C for 4-20h, and then naturally cooled;
Step four: the conductive glass is taken out from the high temperature reaction kettle, rinsed with deionized water and dried in a dry box to obtain tungsten trioxide nanorods with a diameter of 80-100nm and a length of 3-6μm.
For this preparation method, experts have indicated that although it is capable of preparing ordered WO3 nanorods, the structural connectivity between the various WO3 nanorods is poor. And there are still disadvantages of slow transition speed, low coloring efficiency and short cycle life.
