When the temperature is greater than 100°C, the coloring efficiency and discoloration range of the tungsten oxide thin film begin to decrease. The coloring efficiency of the film at an annealing temperature of 60°C was five times or more that of 500°C. Studies have also shown that the degree of crystallization and microstructure of the film affect the discoloration properties of the film at the same time: the larger the grain size, the slower response time and lower coloration efficiency. And if the surface area is larger, it is more favorable for the color change reaction.
